Pittsburgh Wedding Photography

In 2011, I started Jorge Santiago Photography to offer unique, exceptional wedding photography in Pittsburgh. Since then, I have created images for more than 350 couples, celebrating life, community, family, and love.

My clients have described my wedding photography style as phenomenal, genuine, cinematic, stress-free, technical, artistic, efficient, and epic, and my and my team’s demeanor as professional, talented, charismatic, kind, easy to work with, sensitive, low key, responsive and friendly.

Background

At the beginning of 2011, after years of working as the darkroom manager at a photography museum, developing fine art prints, and also doing freelance photojournalism for outlets including the New York Times and Viceland, I decided to start my own Pittsburgh wedding photography studio: Jorge Santiago Photography. Within a week, I booked my first wedding. Five months later, I decided this would be my full time job. I never look back.

Diversity Embraced

I love the incredible diversity of Pittsburgh Weddings and photograph all celebrations, including LGBTQ+ Weddings, Catholic Weddings, Coptic Weddings, Jewish Weddings, Backyard Weddings, Non Denominational Weddings, Garden Weddings, Self-uniting Ceremonies, Courthouse Weddings and others. I feel privileged to witness how many different kinds of couples celebrate love.

Communication

Early on I learned that information is key to successful wedding photography. I’ll ask you to share as much information as possible with me. Including your ceremony program, wedding website and particular family traditions. I'll also do my homework, like visiting new venues and scouting locations near ceremony and reception sites. I have worked in some of the best Pittsburgh wedding venues, including: Saint Paul Cathedral, Heinz Chapel, Sacred Heart Church, The Omni William Penn, Carnegie Museum, and Phipps Conservatory.

Creativity

I have spent years perfecting my wedding photography workflow to allow me to capture all the most important moments of your wedding with a creative focus. I love photographing weddings in natural lighting conditions but let’s face it – Pittsburgh is not known for its sunshine and great weather! Therefore, I bring my own lighting to create stunning results rain or shine.
