Shortly after arriving in Pittsburgh, I discovered a passion for Indian and South Asian Wedding Photography. I love the tradition, color, and vibrancy of Indian and South Asian weddings, and it has been a joy learning more about all the intricacies of the rituals and ceremonies involved.
I have over a decade of experience photographing Indian, Bengali, Pakistani, Persian, and Muslim weddings in Pittsburgh. Through the years, I have paid careful attention to the very specific details of each shaadi, including the haldi ceremony, the mehendi night, garba rass, sangeet, henna, and more. I am dedicated in capturing the exquisite detail involved in each of these experiences.
I do extensive research on traditions and customs relevant to each particular couple, including games, jewelry and dress, adornments, and rites. As someone who grew up in Mexico, a country with vibrant, unique, and strongly preserved traditions, I have a deep respect for tradition and ritual. It is a joy to celebrate the richness of Indian and South Asian culture in my documentary wedding photography.
I have photographed South Asian weddings in the following venues: Hyatt Regency Airport Pittsburgh, Omni William Penn, Wyndham Grand Pittsburgh Hotel, Phipps Conservatory and Botanical Garden, the Westin Convention Center, the Sheraton Hotel at Station Square, The Pennsylvanian Apartments, and many others.
