During the Nikkah ceremony, a stage with a flower backdrop is set-up. The groom and a few family members seat at the stage. The bride initially waits upstairs. A sheik performs the nikkah ceremony by reading of passages of the Quran. Bride is brought downstairs with veil and they do a first look with a mirror. Veil is then removed. Flowers are placed around each others necks and they are seated at the stage. Sweets are fed by family members.
